CHILDHOOD CANCER
To raise awareness for childhood cancer, Phi Theta Chi hosts Alex's Lemonade Stand on campus at least once a year. In addition, sisters collect pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND
Alex's Lemonade Stand is an American organization that raises awareness for pediatric cancers. Named after Alexandra "Alex" Scott, the foundation seeks to honor her memory by funding research for new treatments for cancer. As a sorority, we sell lemonade on campus to raise money for Alex's Lemonade stand as well as raise awareness for pediatric cancer.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
Each semester, sisters collect as many pop tabs as possible to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Though it may not seem like it, the quality of the aluminum tabs make them more valuable than the pop can itself. It takes 1,297 tabs to equal one pound, and it takes 29 pounds of pop tabs to enable a family to stay the night in the Ronald McDonald House.
